Hazmat products for LTL have to follow a strict format on the BOL. 


All of this information needs to be present on the Bill of Lading:

    -Piece count (how many pieces are on the pallet/crate)

    -Packaging type (case, box, drum, etc)

    -Hazardous Materials information in this format: UN Number, Product Description, Hazard Class, Packing Group

    -Emergency contact information in the event of a spill/disaster


The shipper should supply the LTL carrier with the following:

    -Bill of Lading with Trinity Logistics as the bill to, including the information listed above

    -Material Safety Data Sheet for all hazardous materials in the shipment

    -Proper hazardous labels and stickers on the shipment itself

    -Emergency contact information in the event of a spill/disaster
